Meteorologiset laitteet mittaavat tietyn mittaasteikon tietyllä hetkellä mitattua arvoa. Esimerkkejä meteorologisista välineistä ovat lämpömittari (lämpötila), barometri (paine), anomimetri (tuulen nopeus ja suunta), kosteusmittari (kosteus), radiosondit (kaikki aiemmat paitsi tuuli), pyranometri (auringon säteily).

Meteorological devices measure the present value of a meteorological quantity under observation. Some examples of meteorological instruments are a thermometer (temperature), a barometer (pressure), anomemeter (wind speed and direction), a hygrometer (humidity), radiosondes (all previous ones except wind), pyranometer (solar radiation).
