Määritelmä matka tai liike tavanomaisen ulkopuolelle, johonkin tiettyyn pyhäksi luokiteltavaan kohteeseen.

Selite Useimmiten käsitteellä viitataan uskonnollisten motivaatioiden ja kohteiden vuoksi tehtyyn matkaan, mutta sitä käytetään myös suhteessa muihin mielekkääksi koettuihin ja kunnioitettuihin kohteisiin, kuten populaarin julkisuuden henkilöiden haudoille.
