Selite Energia-alalla kokoaja eli aggregaattori tarkoittaa yleensä yhtiötä, joka yhdistää asiakkaidensa energian tuotanto-, varastointi- tai joustavan käytön valmiudet optimoidakseen niiden käyttöä. Optimiointi riippuu asiakasryhmästä, yleensä tarkoittaa yleensä tuoton maksimointia. Hajautettujen resurssien yhdistäminen on yleensä välttämätöntä astuttaessa uusille markkinoille.

Selite (en) In energy research an aggregator typically refers to a company that will bundle together the production, storage or flexible usage capabilities of its customers to optimally use them. What is optimal may depend on the groups of users, very often the goal is to maximize profits. The bundling of distributed resources though an aggregator is often needed to overcome market entry barriers. For the aggregation to work, typically a two way communication between aggregator and customer is necessary.
